Is an overnight desert safari worth it? If you love the outdoors, the silence and serenity of the desert, and the desert sunrise, then an overnight safari is absolutely worth it.

The main difference between morning and evening desert safaris is the timing. The evening desert safari offers the opportunity to see the Arabian Desert at sunset and night. In contrast, the morning safari operates during the day and does not include sunrise.

Children over the age of 10 are welcome on this tour and it’s the perfect activity for solo wanderers, families, or couples alike. The start time for this tour is a languid 7.30 am and it concludes with a decadent breakfast at the Hile Maha Desert Resort before you return to the city.  

Both the boys went for henna painting during the evening entertainment, the local women were quick and skilled.

I don’t think the boys could cope with the heat in Dubai yet (nor hayat we afford it!), but maybe when they’re older and we have more money saved up.
